Una giovane ereditiera, rimasta orfana in tenera età e sotto la tutela del suo tutore, vede arrivare una nuova cameriera raccomandata da un conte. La giovane, la cui vita ruota attorno alla lettura di libri nella biblioteca del tutore, inizia a fare affidamento sulla cameriera, dall'aspetto ingenuo. Tuttavia, la cameriera è in realtà Suk-hee, una borseggiatrice orfana, figlia di una famosa ladra. Ha accettato la proposta del conte truffatore di sedurre la giovane ereditiera e rubarle la fortuna, e si è fatta assumere come cameriera con l'obiettivo di far innamorare l'ereditiera del conte.
