Vagabond gave me some of the best action television Korea has produced — a stuntman digging into the plane crash that killed his nephew, real location shoots, chases that look genuinely expensive. Lee Seung-gi throws himself into every scene, and Suzy's Go Hae-ri grows from comic relief into someone I actually worried about. For most of its run I was completely on board. Then comes the ending. The show spends all that time building a conspiracy, and instead of resolving it, it stops — clearly saving itself for a season two that never came. Years later, that final shot still feels like a door slammed in my face. I don't regret watching it, and the ride itself earns a recommendation. But go in knowing you are boarding a flight that never quite lands.
