The Uncanny Counter has one of my favorite setups in K-drama: a team of demon hunters whose day job is running a humble noodle restaurant. A grandmotherly chef, a gruff ex-gangster, a sharp-tongued server, and a high-school boy with a limp who suddenly gets superpowers — the found-family energy is off the charts. So Mun's arc is the heart of it: watching a bullied kid learn to stand up — literally and otherwise — never stopped being satisfying, and the action scenes in those red tracksuits are pure comfort-food choreography, fight choreography with real weight to it. The villains get genuinely nasty, which keeps the sweetness from turning bland. Season one does dip a little in its back half, and some plot turns are more convenient than clever. But I finished it grinning, and I'd happily eat at that noodle shop every week. A warm, punchy binge for anyone who likes their supernatural stories with heart.
