The Last Humans is the world's first 'science survival reality' show, blending scientific documentary with reality survival. Seven experts from diverse fields enter Biosphere 2, a massive, sealed experimental base in the middle of the Arizona desert. Built in 1991, this was the world's largest closed ecosystem experiment, constructed in an attempt to create a 'second Earth' for humanity. Inside this vast artificial ecosystem, which replicated rainforests, deserts, oceans, and farmlands, eight participants embarked on the most challenging survival experiment in human history: two years of complete self-sufficiency in water, food, and air. However, the experiment ended in failure, marked by decreasing oxygen levels, food shortages, ecosystem collapse, and interpersonal conflicts. Thirty years after this failed human endeavor, a new experiment begins in an era of climate crisis. The mission for the final seven is not mere survival. They must purify contaminated water to create drinking water, restore the collapsing ecosystem, secure food within limited resources, and maintain air balance. Can science truly save humanity? And can humans survive together until the very end?
