■ 7 years after the Sewol ferry sinking... The children's story 325 students from Danwon High School's 2nd grade, who went on a school trip aboard the Sewol ferry on April 16, 2014. However, only 75 of them survived. It has now been 7 years since they parted ways with all the friends they spent elementary, middle, and high school with, and these children have now grown into adults at the age of 25. Youngsoo, who has been self-harming whenever he felt angry since the Sewol incident, has recently started getting tattoos over his wounds to cover the pain. Youngsoo decided to engrave his forgotten friends in his heart and remember them forever, instead of continuing to feel pain and sadness. Junhyeok, the last survivor of the Sewol ferry who miraculously escaped just before the ferry completely sank, believes that remembering those horrific memories without forgetting them is the only thing he can do for his friends. Solbi, Juhee, Hyerin, and Ae Jin are tormented by the fact that their friends' voices are becoming fainter as time goes by. For the past 7 years, they have lived with guilt for not being able to come out with their friends, rather than with the joy of survival. Now, they have gathered for the first time in 7 years. ■ The 7th anniversary of Sewol, a message of gratitude from the surviving students Recalling the horrific memories of that day is indeed a nightmare, but they are determined to cherish the memory of that day for life due to their guilt towards their friends. This is the 'Thank you for remembering us' campaign as they take their first steps. To the many citizens who still remember their friends who became stars in the sky, to singer Sunmi who has been comforting their pain, to the teachers who have cared for them for 7 years, to the residents of Seogeocha Island who provided shelter to the surviving children immediately after the accident, and to Sister Lee Hae-in who has always prayed for the Sewol victims' families, they meet in person to express their gratitude. And with their earnest wish that people will continue to remember their friends' deaths together... Today, they tie the yellow ribbon once more.
