This drama tells the story of Saburo, who, after losing his beloved wife to leukemia, fell into despair and sorrow, spending his days relying on gambling and alcohol. As he prepared to sell everything and return to his hometown, he met, through a colleague, a man nicknamed 'The God of Gambling' who called himself 'The Teacher', and the events that unfolded from there.
