The protagonist Woo-ju, while tidying up junk at home, discovers research notes and belongings left by his grandfather. By chance, through these belongings, he summons Metal Lion Rio from the Metal Age. Afterward, Woo-ju and Rio fight against the Sigma Group to protect Earth's energy.
