A young man who moved from the countryside to live alone in the city struggles to find a job, checking the classifieds every day. Being unemployed, he is secretly in love with his landlady's daughter, but he is too shy to tell her, and he cannot seem to find work. One day, while running to return a wallet dropped by a drunk young man in the park, he runs into the landlady's daughter. They go to a cafe and open the wallet, only to find that it contains nothing but job advertisement clippings and a resume.
