Tak's family, poor but happy, consists of six members. The mother has passed away, but Tak is not lonely thanks to his older sister who fulfills the role of a mother. One day, the older brother Bong-gu knocks down Yeong-tae, the captain of the boxing club, with a single punch, who behaves disrespectfully towards their father. After that incident, Yeong-tae recognizes Bong-gu's talent and decides to teach him boxing professionally. Bong-gu participates in the National Student Boxing Championship and wins dramatically, dedicating the winning trophy to his mother's memory.
