The Scholar and the Scamps (2011)

A heartwarming 15-day cohabitation story with a scholar. In the cold winter, 50 children visit a scholar to learn about filial piety and etiquette. These children, feeling only the chill, must bid farewell to their parents and spend 15 days at an etiquette school. With no mobile phones or game consoles, the only thing they can do is spend time 'together' with friends and the scholar. They enjoy games impossible in the city, like jegichagi (kicking a shuttlecock), tuho (arrow throwing), foot wrestling, and catching mountain trout, and receive beneficial teachings like go-sa-seong-eo (Chinese idioms) and pansori from the scholar, gradually adapting. However, there are always troublemakers everywhere. Some go on a hunger strike because they dislike the bland side dishes, others get into fights with their roommates, and frequently doze off during the scholar's lessons. The etiquette school has no quiet days. In such times, the scholar takes special measures: the switch. With the switch, used to remind them to return to their original mindset, the scamps begin to change through tears and laughter.
