Kang-ta (played by Choi Jae-sung), once a notorious figure in Bulkwang-dong, decides to start a new life as a roasted chestnut vendor. One day, he rescues So-myeong from human traffickers. Motivated to help the oppressed citizens, he gathers some friends and sets up shop as a "problem solver." Upon hearing this, Chang-gyu, the underboss of the Paradise faction, views it as a challenge to his territory and attempts to crush Kang-ta and his crew, but ends up suffering losses instead. The boss of the Emperor faction, which along with Paradise is one of the two major organizations, passes his position to his son, Tae-soo. Driven by a desire to expand his organization, the fearless Tae-soo attacks the Paradise faction. The boss of the Paradise faction is harmed by Tae-soo. Meanwhile, Kang-ta's group, who had been helping people in need without pay, faces financial difficulties. They receive an order from the boss of the Paradise faction to kill Tae-soo. They tail the heavily intoxicated Tae-soo and commit murder in front of a hotel. In an attempt to cover up the crime, they destroy a funeral parlor and are subsequently arrested by the police...
