Hye-young, who is about to enter university, leaves home for the first time and comes alone to a strange city. Although she struggles to find a boarding house, the room feels unfamiliar and the fact of being alone is awkward. Moreover, she hears inexplicable sounds that frighten her a little. The only thing familiar to her is an old teddy bear. On her first night at the boarding house, while looking at the patterns on the ceiling, Hye-young remembers the beach of her hometown.
