Twenty-something director Hye-min meets veteran activist Geum-ja, in her 40s, while filming for an environmental organization and takes her as a role model. However, Geum-ja, who had wanted to live as a 'grandmother activist' even as she aged, suddenly quits the organization she had attended for over a decade. The following year, after a garbage crisis, Geum-ja and Hye-min travel to India and Kenya, where plastic bag regulations are strict. Upon returning from their travels, Geum-ja struggles to drive plastic bags out of her neighborhood market, and Hye-min begins to document her.
