This documentary captures the lingering pain of the April 16 Sewol ferry disaster, using the space of Jindo as a medium. The people of Jindo have long embraced death within their lives. Due to their coastal location and the experience of most residents being wiped out during the Imjin War, a culture has developed to appease the souls of those who died unjustly. This film showcases the bereaved families of the Sewol victims who remain in Jindo, the people of Jindo who comfort them wholeheartedly, and the shamans who console wandering spirits, all through their unique cultural traditions and rituals.
