This film explores the social issue of marriage difficulties for rural bachelors. Kim Go-saeng and Park Jae-soo travel to Seoul to attend a group matchmaking event for young farmers. However, the women they meet have no desire to live in the countryside and suggest they sell their land to move to the city. Driven by pride, the two men find work as a supermarket delivery boy and a sauna masseur. There, Go-saeng falls for a cafe waitress named Young-joo, while Jae-soo becomes infatuated with a masseuse named Choo-ja. When Choo-ja learns that Jae-soo intends to return to the countryside to farm, she coldly rejects him. Devastated, Jae-soo attempts suicide, prompting Go-saeng to decide to take him back to their hometown. One day, the two rescue Young-joo after she is kidnapped by a jeweler, leading her to reconsider her feelings for Go-saeng.
