Young-kwon and I started as college classmates and have been friends for 24 years. Unrelated to our major in physics, Young-kwon chose politics, and I chose film. Young-kwon began with the 2004 parliamentary elections and has since run four times as a progressive party candidate. While my friend went through four elections, I shot dozens of films. In the meantime, we both passed forty, my friend's politics shifted from the public square to the alleyways, and my films returned from the ideal to the everyday. Upon hearing that Young-kwon would challenge the 2018 district council election, I decided to restart the documentary work we began together in 2004. Young-kwon, who wants to change the world with a hula hoop, and I, who want to face the world by wiping a window.
