An orphan, Jun-yeong is a member of a small organization in Itaewon, but he prefers spending time with his friend Min-u. One day, he meets Asako, a clear and pure Japanese exchange student. Reminiscent of his mother's image, Jun-yeong tries to win her favor. Initially bewildered, Asako gradually develops sincere affection for him, but is torn by her mother's constant calls urging her to return home. Meanwhile, Jun-yeong is plagued by guilt after his friend Min-u sacrifices himself to save him from an organization's plot. Becoming a fugitive, he seeks revenge. Unaware and accompanying Jun-yeong for the joy of the trip, Asako discovers in Busan that he is wanted, and they part sadly. Left alone, Jun-yeong confronts the men sent by the organization and gradually loses consciousness, with the faces of Asako and his mother flashing through his mind.
