After divorcing Young-ok, the musician Ho-il moves to Paris and becomes engaged to Catherine, the daughter of a merchant who works at the Korean embassy. However, when the actress Young-ok, who cannot forget her ex-husband, appears in Paris after attending the Berlin International Film Festival, Ho-il is reminded of his duty as a father to his daughter Yu-mi and decides to return home with Young-ok. Feeling guilty about breaking his engagement, Young-ok tries to leave alone, but Ho-il rushes to the airport to stop her. While Ho-il goes to retrieve luggage for Young-ok, who is waiting at the airport, he suddenly receives news that Catherine has been in a car accident and is hospitalized. Ho-il rushes to the hospital and, unable to let go of Catherine, stays by her side, leaving Young-ok to return home alone.
