Unable to endure the tyranny of her agency, actress Mi-ran flees to her hometown of Busan and goes into hiding. Enraged, agency head Byeong-hun and manager Chang-ryeol order Jong-man, who is not even her manager, to bring her back simply because they are both from Busan. Jong-man is forced to go to Busan, where he begins searching for Mi-ran with his friend Jong-ho and a new acquaintance, Tae-mi. After many twists and turns, they find Mi-ran on the coast and finally catch her after a chase. Mi-ran pours out her heart about the abuse she suffered at the agency, but Jong-man ignores her pleas and decides to take her to Seoul. The night before their departure, she escapes and jumps into the sea from a dangerous breakwater. Fortunately, she survives with minor injuries. After her discharge, Jong-man, Jong-ho, and Tae-mi decide to help her. Jong-ho uses his makeup skills to create a death mask, and Tae-mi disguises herself as Mi-ran to stage a suicide attempt in front of Byeong-hun and Chang-ryeol.
