In 2007, writers from Korea, China, and Japan decide to create and simultaneously publish picture books about 'peace' as they each envision it. Korean picture book author Kwon Yoon-deok decides to tell the story of 'comfort women' based on the testimony of Mrs. Shim Dal-yeon, a survivor. She recounts, "The theme of 'comfort women' is what the Japanese government wants to hide the most, so my heart sank. But everyone was moved at the time and said, 'You absolutely must draw it.'" She begins her work with the warm support of her colleagues, but as the long-forgotten wounds of the past begin to seep into her drawings, she faces unpredictable situations. Fierce debates between Korean and Japanese authors surrounding her sketches indefinitely postpone the completion of the picture book, and the notice of 'indefinite publication postponement' from the Japanese publisher, who initially wanted to draw 'peace' with her, leaves her increasingly exhausted... Will she be able to convey 'peace' to children?
