Mi-kyung, who frequently writes letters to her father in Samcheok, befriends the postman. When labor becomes scarce in the countryside, Mi-kyung one day writes a letter to her father asking him to return. Upon receiving Mi-kyung's letter, her father Chi-bok decides to return home, but dies in a traffic accident on the way. To console Mi-kyung's sadness, the villagers tell her that her father's spirit is still alive. Thereafter, Mi-kyung begins to write letters to heaven. The postman, to comfort Mi-kyung's heart, exchanges letters on behalf of her father. (Lim Jae-won)
