Sun-i becomes pregnant by her childhood friend Chang-su and comes to Seoul to contact him, but he avoids her, so she finds a job. Chang-su, a company executive, tries to eliminate Sun-i, who feels the need for a union, through a human trafficking organization. She is convicted and later released for killing a human trafficker in a red-light district. In the emptiness of revenge and resentment, Sun-i decides to marry Myung-ho, but a sewing machine technician tries to kill her; she kills him and flees. While fleeing, she even kills Chang-su, who intended to kill Sun-i and Ju-hee, and passes a checkpoint, but the police open fire, and Sun-i eventually dies. Ju-hee remains by Sun-i's side with an empty heart.
