Seung Won and Ha Yeon, a couple, lose their son Tae Jin in a hit-and-run accident while returning from a trip. Seung Won quits his job and, consumed by vengeance, sets out to find the culprits. Ha Yeon, whose pain intensifies due to her mother-in-law's scolding, goes to her sister's house in the United States. There, tormented by mental confusion, she is hospitalized and meets Hyeon Suk. Seung Won, who begins to believe in God through Hyeon Suk, sees his faith deepen when Hyeon Suk dies in his place at a supermarket. Returning to Korea, Hyeon Suk persuades her revenge-obsessed husband and superstitious mother-in-law to believe in Jesus. The couple then spends their lives with disabled people, practicing Christ's love.
