Worried about his sister Yeonghui paying her tuition fees, Myeongdeok decides to take on a part-time job. One day, while visiting his sister at a fried chicken restaurant, Myeongdeok meets Ha Mi-ae, a classmate, and they become close. However, Park Du-tae, who has always liked Ha Mi-ae, tries to break them up. Meanwhile, Myeongdeok accepts the request of Bokja, his neighbor's housekeeper, to pose as her fake groom for her sick father. He accompanies her to her hometown to hold a fake wedding. However, Ha Mi-ae hears the news of Myeongdeok's marriage and, in despair, leaves for France.
