Gyeong-hwan, feeling bored with his married life, is visited by his former lover, Shin-ae. Living in poverty while running a small shop, she comes to him to ask for money for her daughter's hospital bills. Gyeong-hwan is shocked to learn that the child is his. Around the same time, Gyeong-hwan discovers that his wife is having an affair and decides to get a divorce. However, Shin-ae is conflicted, as she cannot bring herself to leave her husband.
