Dong-il, once known as the "Tiger of Myeongdong" and a dominant figure in the underworld, reinvents himself as a saxophone player on the night stage with the help of Na-bi, a circus performer. One day, Dong-il rescues Young-sook, a nightclub dancer, who is being harassed by Na Bu-jang's gang, backed by the powerful boss Hwang, who controls the shady entertainment industry. The two quickly become close, but become the target of Na Bu-jang's gang. Hwang, secretly in love with Young-sook, grows jealous as she grows closer to Dong-il and relentlessly torments him, eventually costing Dong-il his job. However, when Young-sook is kidnapped by Hwang's gang, Dong-il fights them, but is sent back to prison on Hwang's accusation. After his release, Dong-il bitterly discovers that Young-sook has become Hwang Cheol-soo's (likely Hwang's) woman, feeling betrayed and falling into despair. Hwang's incessant revenge continues to pursue him. But soon, through Na-bi, he learns that Young-sook had orchestrated everything for his sake. The two lovers reaffirm their feelings and decide to start a new life together.
