Empress Esther (1996)

In the year 2500 BC, the Jewish people lived under the rule of the mighty Medo-Persian Empire. Many Jews had settled in this land and lived freely, worshipping their God Jehovah, with King Ahasuerus's permission. Mordecai, a virtuous Jew working at the palace gate, had a beautiful cousin named Esther, who was orphaned at a young age. With her gentle disposition and wisdom, Esther later became the queen, the mother of the nation, of the vast Medo-Persian Empire. Meanwhile, Haman, of a violent and cruel nature, slandered the king, claiming that Mordecai, due to his different race and religion, disobeyed the king's laws and committed anti-state acts. The furious king ordered the execution of all Jews. When the Jewish people were on the brink of annihilation, Queen Esther showed exceptional courage, risking her life.
