Ri Chun-gu, a successful film director in North Korea, discovers Netflix through a USB drive he accidentally obtained. This exposure makes him question the propaganda films he's been making. As usual, State Security agents are monitoring his film sets. However, for the first time in his life, Ri Chun-gu clashes with the State Security for the sake of cinematic art, embarking on a life-threatening shoot.
