Seong-beom returns to his alma mater after the academy director requests his graduation certificate. There, he reunites with his first love, So-eun, and begins to trace the traces of his past friend, Won-mo, through a missing student record. He eventually discovers that Won-mo had dropped out just before graduation and was an orphan. Overwhelmed by regret, Seong-beom holds a funeral for Won-mo, playing the piano at a church to honor his memory.
