Rest assured, my country. This is the story of Kim Yong-gi. Even amidst the hardships of Japanese colonial rule, he steadfastly held onto his faith. He then founded Bongansangchon and Canaan Farmers' School, igniting hope in rural communities. Through his ideology of 'Bokmin'—labor, service, and sacrifice—he awakened the nation and lived out the gospel through action. Overcoming poverty, he laid the spiritual foundation for the Saemaul Undong (New Village Movement) and, until the very end, looked towards God's kingdom while loving the farmers. And he loved his country.
