Bao Bei, who promised her future to Woo Sik in her hometown, travels to Seoul to raise money for her wedding and works as a maid in Jang Ho Choon's house. His only daughter, Soo Ryun, and her fiancé, Stan Park, frequent the house and attempt to approach Bao Bei. Woo Sik, upon receiving a letter that Bao Bei has cut her hair, rushes to Seoul and confronts Stan Park. Stan Park tries to outwit Woo Sik, lure Bao Bei to a mountain cabin to molest her, but is stopped by Woo Sik, who arrives in time. As Bao Bei and her group depart for their hometown, Stan Park appears asking for forgiveness. The kind-hearted Bao Bei forgives him.
