His father, Byung-don, is displeased with his always lazy son, and Yong-gon neither understands nor wants to understand his father. Their cohabitation, like a creaky gate, is no different even when the whole family gathers for Chuseok. During the preparations for the ancestral rites, the conflict between Yong-gon and Byung-don erupts. In a fit of anger, Yong-gon runs out of the house and encounters his deceased grandfather.
