Minsik's father is a money-grubbing pimp in Jangmichon. His eldest brother, Mindu, unhesitatingly acts violently and ignorantly to please their father. In this environment, the second brother, Mingi, is raised fragile and with a vegetative personality under the pathological favoritism of his intellectual mother. After their mother's death, Mingi, who withered like a rootless plant, finally runs away from home. Four years later, Mingi returns with symptoms of schizophrenia, meeting a hermit in the mountains and rambling about talking to the stars. Since returning home, Mingi, who suffered constant abuse from Mindu, is finally torn apart by the teeth of a hunting dog brought to photograph Chunhwa and dies on the way to the hospital. The father and Mindu are arrested, and Minsik, left alone, burns away the cycle of dark nightmares, hatred, and brutal ugliness.
