A children's book author, Gunai, who enters the country for a signing event, is living in the time when her father disappeared under the Chilean dictatorship. And Jae-kyung, who planned Gunai's publication, and his older brother, Jae-rim, also find 1980, the year their maternal grandfather vanished, an unforgettable time. Despite living in different historical periods, they, who have endured similar pain, begin to comfort each other's wounds along with Hyung-geun, who lost a friend. However, the shadow of violence, which they thought had disappeared, looms again. Witnessing the tragedy of a victim's family becoming victims once more, Gunai falls into a dilemma. After deep contemplation, he ultimately chooses a way of mourning, just as their daily lives have been marked by times of mourning. Thus, they will console each other as survivors in the long history of violence, forming the largest community in this world.
