As young people leave, Busan has become the first metropolitan city in the country to enter an aging society. For the past 34 years, Busan was a city where youth evaporated, as manufacturing, its foundational industry, collapsed and local companies like Kukje Group and Dongmyung Timber were dismantled. Young people say they wanted to stay in their hometown but couldn't. Can a young Busan be rebuilt? The generation born in 1985, who 'graduated' from youth at the end of 2019, have prepared a graduation speech for prospective young graduates.
