The movie begins with a self-recorded video by Ju-hwan, Ha-young's father. Ju-hwan, who makes children's storybooks, tells his daughter Ha-young about spirits that appear in storybooks. He says that if one sincerely and earnestly wishes and hopes, a spirit will appear and grant the wish. Ju-hwan gives Ha-young a letter containing the story of the spirits, and while Ha-young is half-believing her father's words, she meets her friends and begins to search for the spirits.
