Nakrang possesses the Jamyonggo, a drum that alerts to foreign invasions, causing Goguryeo's attacks to repeatedly fail. Prince Hodong of Goguryeo infiltrates Nakrang to destroy the Jamyonggo and falls in love with the princess of Nakrang. Shortly after, when the Goguryeo army invades, the princess of Nakrang tears the Jamyonggo for love, leading to Nakrang's downfall and the princess's death. Prince Hodong embraces the corpse of the princess of Nakrang and weeps bitterly.
