In disadvantaged circumstances, Kang Wook and Jin Young sell their blood to continue their studies. Amidst this, the Korean War breaks out. Kang Wook enlists in the volunteer army, while Jin Young undertakes various volunteer activities and writes letters of encouragement to the soldiers fighting on the front lines. They overcome all hardships and are promised a bright tomorrow.
