No Seon-ju repents his past crimes of involvement in smuggling, surrenders to the authorities, and serves his sentence. However, when his beloved wife is dying of illness, he gets involved in smuggling again to procure money. He manages to rescue his wife from the brink of death, but is killed by his associates who fear he will betray them again.
