In the early Joseon Dynasty, Kim Gyeong, a lecherous man, is appointed as the magistrate of Jeju. Concerned about his behavior in office, his wife accompanies him with Bae Bijang, who is famous for avoiding women. The tormented magistrate decides to teach Bae Bijang the true nature of seduction. Bae Bijang is mesmerized by the advances of Aeran, a renowned courtesan of Jeju. Finally, Bae Bijang kneels before the magistrate and later becomes paired with Aeran, ascending to the position of governor.
