To a remote mountain village, cut off from material civilization, comes Bokko, a salt peddler. Each time he visits, a new aspect of material civilization is introduced to the village. Consequently, the villagers worship him like a deity. Seizing this opportunity, he seduces numerous married women and deceives innocent maidens. Eventually, he is cursed by the villagers and can never set foot in that village again.
