Lü Bu, fleeing after killing his adoptive father Dong Zhuo because of Diao Chan, seeks out Liu Bei, who had returned to his hometown to live peaceful days, avoiding the wars among the feudal lords after Dong Zhuo's expulsion. However, he gets into a fight with Zhang Fei, who dislikes him, and flees. To defeat Lü Bu, many feudal lords, including Cao Cao, gather to prepare for war at the castle where Lü Bu was hiding. Meanwhile, Zhang Fei, who successfully infiltrated the castle in disguise, meets Lü Bu and kills him in combat. When Cao Cao leads a large army to attack Liu Bei, Liu Bei goes to attack Cao Cao to ambush his troops, but ends up being counter-attacked. With the brothers scattered, Guan Yu, left alone, decides to fight to the death, but under Zhang Liao's advice, he joins Cao Cao and excels in war by beheading enemy generals. One day, upon hearing that Liu Bei was alive, Guan Yu sets out to meet Zhang Fei, escorting Liu Bei's wives and breaking through Cao Cao's siege. Thanks to Liu Bei's wives, Zhang Fei, who had misunderstood Guan Yu, resolves the misunderstanding and reunites with Liu Bei, sharing joy again.
