This work documents the process of moving tree roots found on Marado to a gallery space at the Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art. As the tree is moved, questions are posed through the gazes that observe: 'Is the sea an object of fear?', 'Is solitude beautiful?', 'Does isolation breed ruin?', 'Was one lonely while living?'. Each person's way of responding, each person's gaze, is sometimes different.
