Kim Young-dong and Seo Hyo-sook, a couple who have run a rice cake shop for over 40 years in Oryu Market, Guro-gu, Seoul. Every day, they raise the shutters at dawn and clean the alley, protecting the market. Over 20 years ago, after developers appeared with a market redevelopment project and drove out the merchants, the market became a place to be protected. As development projects proceed, they take to the streets to voice their concerns.
