I Won't Cry (1974)

When the Korean War breaks out and schools are closed, Jae-nam leaves with his family on a flight with the excitement of an outing. Separated from his family during the flight, Jae-nam travels to his hometown where his grandfather lives, witnesses the atrocities committed by the North Korean army, and cultivates the seed of anger in his young heart. Accidentally gathering grenades, Jae-nam returns to his village and, with his old mischievous friends, thwarts the North Korean army's plot to annihilate all the villagers. The next day, as the South Korean army advances with the Inchon Landing Operation, Jae-nam waves the Korean flag and sees the proud figure of his older brother, Jae-seok, a private first class, among the ranks.
