On the brink of life and death, Suhee clings to life. Having put her dark past behind her, Suhee becomes the secretary for President Nam of Namwoo Corporation, on the recommendation of her university professor, and moves into his home. Suhee feels lonely and isolated. Amidst the conflicts of his children from various relationships, she dedicates her compassion and affection to President Nam, who has been blind for six months. President Nam's sons, upon learning of Suhee's past, misunderstand her relationship with their father. One day, with President Nam's help, she finds Youngran, but President Nam slips and dies. With nowhere to go after President Nam's death, Suhee visits Madame Kang and resumes her former life. She also discovers that Sangmin was her savior and had sincerely loved her. Just as she prepares to welcome him, Sangmin dies in an accident. Weakened, Suhee wanders the cold night streets until she collapses from exhaustion. Youngran's desperate cries upon finding the collapsed Suhee move Dongseok's heart, which had tormented Suhee, leading him to repentance and helping Suhee to stand up again.
