As the weary day draws to a close, the village of Jangsan-ri is bathed in the beautiful glow of sunset over the tidal flats. At dawn, the village shines like the sun, illuminated by the salt fields. Four sisters live here, considering this humble place their own home and a little piece of heaven. The eldest daughter, Ha-eun, is strong-willed and cares for her younger siblings in place of their parents. The second daughter, Seon-yeong, is a bit more immature than her older sister. The third daughter, Min-hye, is always happy thanks to her sisters. Their father, Deok-bae, feels apologetic towards his family due to the aftereffects of a traffic accident. Meanwhile, their mother, Soon-deok, is heavily pregnant with their youngest child, Sa-rang, and works at a bean sprout factory, her brow beaded with sweat as she thinks of her children's bright smiles.
