Ye-seo, who is wandering through life after being discharged from military service and before returning to university, and Soon-i, who falls into deep despair after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, meet by chance on the subway and embark on a trip to an out-of-season beach. Soon-i, who doesn't want Ye-seo to see her death, tells him to leave. Ye-seo, conflicted, finds sleeping pills and a letter to Dr. Kang In-soo in Soon-i's bag, and learns of her terminal illness.
