بدأ كقصة عن سرّ يهدّد الحياة، ثم نسي كيف يبقيني متوتّرة

The first few episodes captured my heart. A girl forced to live in place of her twin brother and rise to the position of Crown Prince, with a single secret that would ruin everything if revealed. Park Eun-bin carries this weight with such subtle expressions—a glance, then silence—that I truly believe she lives on the edge of fear every single day. Rowoon as the tutor Jung Ji-woon was sweet and warm, and the scenes where he teaches her are some of the most beautiful in the show, because the intimacy between them grows slowly and naturally. Even the supporting characters were given their own backstories, which is something I appreciate in historical dramas. However, in the middle, I felt the story stopped progressing. The conspiracies kept repeating in the same way, the tension that started out sharp became predictable, and I found myself anticipating what would happen before it did. As for the romance, it remained overly cautious, and I kept waiting for a step forward that only came too late. I finished it loving the lead character and wishing the script had trusted her more.
