Eight episodes with no filler about a girl who watches her father die right in front of her and decides to join the organization surrounding him to find the culprit. The series gets straight to the point from the very first minute, and that is something I really appreciate in a catalog full of stories that take four episodes to get going. Han So-hee is unrecognizable, and I mean that as the highest possible compliment. No glamour: a scarred face, heavy breathing, and long, gritty fights that feel real. Park Hee-soon, as the boss of the organization, exudes a quiet fear of the kind that never needs to raise its voice. The plot, mind you, travels paths that anyone who has seen film noir will recognize immediately, and I guessed a couple of twists ahead of time. Even so, I finished it in one night and would watch it again, because the strength of this series isn't in the surprises, but in the physicality of its protagonist.
